WE MATURE OVER TIME... NOT WITH TIME!

Time they say flies when you are having fun! Is it true that time changes? Time. Does it really move or we are the ones who move towards time.
By time here i do not make reference to a metal or ornament that denotes the weather or the season or a period in the day.
Again, i do not infer the chronological ornament that denotes the hour or minute or second.
By time here, i mean the all eternal presence- that, which has being, and is, and will continue to be. Does it really change?
I don't think so... Time remains still; but we as individuals rush into Time to cull from It, the experiences needed for our spiritual (maturity) growth.
Lets look at it from another perspective: We were born into Time... and even before we were born, Time has always been there and will continue to be there after our departure.
Time does not change. We are the ones who change inwardly as we get more mature with the lessons we have learnt over time.
I will take you back a little bit...
Consider when you were younger or better still, that period in your life when you thought you have reached the age of maturity.
Now, from that period uptil this moment, do you think you have changed considerably inwardly? Anyone who wants to be truthful to himself, would say 'yes'!
We have changed over time because we are now more matured as a result of the lessons Time has taught us.
Imagine if it were possible to extract from us, all the lessons and experiences we have learnt and acquired over time... What would become of us?
We would practically become big babies with blank slate for brains. We would assume a seemingly preposterous innocence for our age. But Time would still be there. Its only our experiences that has been taken away from us.
We don't change with time... we change over time...
Time is the ultimate recorder of events and our passage through It... It does not change! We do!

UNSPOKEN WORDS!

this world of ours
hinges on passion
soaked on gestures
like loud silence...

0pen doors beckon
on us to move
though our feelings
are unclear...

where it leads
we know not...
be it for long,
we care not.

our buried desire
burst with pleasure
that is our song
though silent it seems

so, come with me
with open mind
and i will accept
with open heart...

what time will nurture
and prove...

with uninhibited laughter and joy,
we will soar high
like birds into the sky.

WISE MEN'S SAYINGS...

Most times when we read books or articles published by good writers, and we come across sentences or quotations that are very true, we become elated.
This exhilarating feeling stems from the fact that the very words of this author have aptly described the situation.
Some of these words could be mere ''quotations'' which speak volume. I have great respect for men and women who have used words economically to drive home their point.
Here are few examples that I have compiled together.

'...when the people fear the government, then there is TYRANNY. But when the government fear the people, there is LIBERTY.'

'...One ought , everyday at least, to hear a little song, read a good book or poem, see a fine picture and if possible, speak a few reason words.'

'...the true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him no good.'

'...birth brings happiness; life is pleasant; death is peaceful. It is only the transition that is troublesome.'

'...one of the symtoms of an approaching nervous breakdown, is the belief that one's work is terribly important.'

'...from the moment i picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter; someday I intend reading it.'

'...the greatest of fault I should say, is to be conscious of none.'

'...in the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.'

'...the power of accurate observation is frequently called 'cynicism' by those who don't have it.'

'...some cause happiness WHEREVER they go,others WHENEVER they go.'

'...there are people in the world so hungry, that God appear to them except in the form of bread.'

'...women might be able to fake orgasms; but men can fake a whole relationship.'

'...love is friendship set on fire.'

Tell me what you think of these quotes.

WHAT DO WE MAKE OF THIS?

The Associated Press
TAMPA, Fla. Nov 23, 2005 — A female teacher whose sexual liaisons with a 14-year-old middle school student made tabloid headlines has avoided prison time by pleading guilty to having sex with the boy in a classroom and at her home.
Debra Lafave, 25, will serve three years of house arrest and seven years of probation. She pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of lewd and lascivious battery. If convicted at trial in Hillsborough County, she could have faced up to 15 years in prison on each count.
The victim's mother said after Tuesday's hearing that the public scrutiny had taken its toll on the family.

IS IT STILL A MAN'S WORLD? LETS TURN THE TABLE AROUND...25 year old male teacher sleeps with 14 year old pupil... the verdict can best be imagined!

ANONYMITY!

I have often wondered why people become anonymous at the of a comment or write-up ...why?Imagine having read a beautiful script - be it original or adopted, and at the end, you look forward to taking issues up with the writer... what do you see at the bottom? 'ANONYMOUS'...
I think (and most people feel the same way) that the seriousness of such an article or story is watered down by the 'ANONYMITY'...People should be bold enough to append their name - even if it is a pseudo name. At least by so doing, there can be a link and continuity, if need be for further discourse.Maybe, I am just being fuzzy... what do you think?

THIS IS SURVIVAL!

IS A STRANGE NAME
FOR THOSE WHO
KNOW THE GAME
IT HAS SAVED MANY
WITHOUT A PENNY
THE TRADE?
A FEW EMPTY BOTTLES
AND AN EXPERT
WHO CAN BREW
NEXT YOU STAND
IN AN UNHOLY CORNER
THE LOWEST OF THE
VERY LOW
YET,HE IS ABOVE ALL
FOR HE IS MASTER OF
THE GAME AND HIS TRADE
FRESHEN UP HE SAYS…
MOST TIMES HE SMILES
SOMETIMES HE WEEPS…
LIKE AN UNWANTED DIRT
HE STANDS LONELY
ALL NIGHT…
THE LURE OF FOREIGN LAND
HAS BROUGHT SO MANY
WITHOUT A PENNY…
SOMETIME, HE REASONS
IS THIS ALL…
THERE IS TO THIS LAND

IS LIFE A MIRAGE?

ONE MOMENT YOU ARE UP THERE
FIT AS A FIDDLE
WITH CHEST PUFFED
AND YOU WALK
AND YOU SWAY
WITH SWAGGED GAIT
HOPING TO STAY THERE
ONE WHIFF OF AIR
YOU ARE ON EARTH CRUST
FERVENT PRAYERS QUIVER
THOSE BOISTERIOUS LIPS
HEALTH YOU BEG FOR
WEALTH YOU ASK NOT
IF YOU ARE NOT SNAPPED
YOU ARE BACK
TO STARTING POINT
VANITY, IS ALL VANITY!

this is for George Best
